Holloway’s Relationship With Yessica
The love story between Josh Holloway and Yessica Kumala began in 1999 at a Los Angeles bar. Kumala, born in Indonesia in 1978 to Chinese parents, made the first move, asking for Holloway’s number. In the actor’s words, this is what happened:
“In the very beginning, we met at a bar, and I was going over to hit on her friend because they were hot. I didn’t see her; she was turned around. I got right to them, and I got slapped on the shoulder. She looked me up and down and said, ‘Give me your number before you leave,’ and left with her martini. I was like, ‘Well, who was that?'”
After dating for about five years, Holloway proposed to Kumala in Oahu, Hawaii, following the completion of the ‘Lost’ pilot shoot. The couple exchanged vows on October 1, 2004.
Java Kumala and Hunter Lee
The Holloways welcomed their first child, a daughter named Java Kumala, in April 2009. Java’s middle name is a nod to her mother’s heritage. As of now, she is 14 years old.
