In a recent episode of her Broad Ideas podcast, The O.C. alum Rachel Bilson admitted that her honesty cost her losing a job opportunity.
Earlier in May, Bilson sat with the Women On Top podcast and talked about her sexual experiences and preferences in a candid way. Speaking with the hosts Roxy Manning and Tammin Sursok, she said:
“I like missionary. I’ve learned that if you want to have an orgasm during sex, you have to be on top. But missionary is my favorite. I want to be f*cking manhandled.”
Apparently, these remarks resulted in her losing a job she had already been cast for. On her Broad Ideas podcast, Rachel revealed:
“A job got taken away from me because I was speaking candidly and openly about sex in a humorous way. A single mom, a woman, lost a job because they were being candid and honest, and the subject was sex.”
Talking about being a people pleaser but not being able to fake an orgasm, she also said the following:
“I’m like, ‘Am I an a**hole?’ I start to go into that people-pleasing thing. Like, am I just a d*ck because I never gave my partners that? It goes against my whole nature of being, like, a people-pleaser and putting the dude first.”
Admitting she didn’t have an orgasm for a very long time during sex, Rachel recalled the first time she experienced it:
“And then it finally happened, and it was like, ‘OK, the floodgates have opened.’ People put that kind of orgasm on a pedestal because it’s so much harder to achieve. Mostly, it was about me and my body and being comfortable, and figuring out the position. It’s about learning your body.”
Back in March, Rachel made a similar confession that made the headlines when she told Whitney Cummings that she never had an orgasm from sex until she was 38. Following these remarks, fans started speculating about her exes, but Rachel said it had nothing to do with her partners.
Bilson first revealed losing a job for her honest comments in May, saying she cried after hearing the news because she’s a single mom who needed a job.
