Cradle of Filth has cancelled another concert—this time in Mérida—after what the band described as unprofessional treatment from local promoters combined with technical difficulties. The band addressed the cancellation in a statement shared on Instagram.

“We are really sorry to have had to cancel this show Filthlings. We will make it up to you as soon as possible,” the band said.

They explained that the problems stemmed from both technical failures and a citywide outage. “We regret the cancellation of today’s Cradle of Filth show in Mérida. Unfortunately, there was a power outage in the city that complicated the technical issues for the local promoters, who were two hours late from the start,” they continued. “The power was out, and three members of our team were victims of electrical shocks, which shouldn’t happen on any production.”

The statement also pointed to conflicts with the event organizers. “The promoters didn’t accept this in a professional manner and targeted members of our staff and our artist. Francisco Alberto de la Cruz Rosa of OnsiteLive and his partners basically attacked Cradle of Filth in an unprofessional and cowardly manner,” the band declared. “We condemn this incident and urge all bands in the area NOT to work with these unprofessional individuals.”

Sergio Roa of Drmrs Entertainment added further criticism of the promoters’ conduct.

“Until right now, they have picked the phone zero times and we got able to help our artist by external people to the show, due that the ‘promoters’ kept the venue closed so no one went in or out,” Roa said.

This cancellation follows recent lineup changes: Zoë M. Federoff announced her departure from the band, and her husband Marek “Ashok” Šmerda was dismissed shortly after. Cradle of Filth has also had to cancel multiple other shows due to technical problems. In addition, the band has disabled comments on their social media to curb negative reactions.

The Mérida disruption reflects a wider series of touring challenges. Recently, Loudwire reported that Cradle of Filth was forced to cancel four U.S. shows due to visa complications—an increasingly common issue for international acts in the United States. Zoë M. Federoff, former keyboardist for Cradle of Filth, has announced that she is returning to teaching voice lessons after her exit from the symphonic black metal group, according to a statement shared on Instagram.

Her decision follows a turbulent period in which both she and her husband, guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda, parted ways with the band after conflicts with frontman Dani Filth. Federoff is now refocusing on her career as a vocal instructor.

“It’s been several years since I taught voice lessons, and I’m excited to say I’m now ready to resume teaching,” Federoff said. “My schedule can accommodate 5 new students, either for online or in-person lessons (assuming you’re local to Tucson).”

She explained that her vocal instruction covers a wide range of technical skills.

“PM me if you want to improve your ear and pitch, breath control, articulation, and overall vocal health,” she continued. “Additionally, if you’re a live vocalist, feel free to ask me about microphones, mic technique, and live vocal performance. All ages and ability levels are welcome- I’ve got lots of experience teaching young people as well, so if your kiddo needs an accessible voice curriculum, I’d especially love to help them start their vocal journey.”

The couple’s departure from Cradle of Filth was accompanied by public disputes and disagreements that spread across social media and music press outlets.

According to Blabbermouth, Federoff left mid-tour citing personal reasons. Days later, Ashok was dismissed following his outspoken criticism of the band’s working conditions. He had openly raised concerns about low pay, high stress, and what he saw as neglect toward band members.

Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth has announced the cancellation of the band’s scheduled show in Panama, citing severe power issues at the venue. The statement was shared via Instagram. The cancellation comes on the heels of recent lineup changes and public disputes within the band.

Filth explained the technical difficulties that made the performance impossible. “Tonight Cradle Of Filth’s show in Panama is unfortunately cancelled due to the issue of dangerous power,” Filth said. “We tried last night to make the venue work (this venue has a history of similar problems) and the power blew out a bunch of microphones, caused the PA and monitor board to fluctuate between on and off and threatened to electrocute the band.”

Despite significant efforts to salvage the event, the problems proved unresolvable. “The promoter brought in a generator to bypass the issue and it still didn’t work by tonight, despite the crew working tirelessly all day to fix the problems,” he continued. “As a touring family we are all very upset that, despite all the work and moving flights to make this show happen in Panama, unfortunately the venue is just not up to safety standards and undertaking the show would be a danger to all.”

Filth ended his statement with an apology and reassurance for fans. “We will endeavour to come back to your beautiful country just as humanly possible. Thank you for your understanding.”

This development follows the recent exit of Zoë M. Federoff and her husband, guitarist Marek ‘Ashok’ Šmerda, which sparked public disputes with Filth.

The band has faced frequent lineup changes throughout its career, and this incident is the latest example.
