John Mayer recently discussed his music career as well as dueting with his ex, Katy Perry.

During an appearance on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen After Show Monday, Mayer was asked by a virtual fan to name his least favorite album. While he placed ‘Paradise Valley’ at the bottom of his favorites, host Cohen pointed out a fan-favorite track from the album: ‘Who You Love,’ featuring Katy Perry. The singer said of the 2013 duet:

“Isn’t that great? I’m glad. I’m glad we did that. That was sort of like early ‘Sob Rock’ prototype stuff. It was just at the point where I was saying, ‘Why can’t I make music from a different era?’ If I love a style of music and I want to make it, like a genre, why can’t I make music that I was pretending was from a different era?”

He then shared his thoughts on Perry’s voice in the song:

“And that was sort of like a prototype to ‘Sob Rock.’ It was sort of like an FM Light radio thing, and ‘Sob Rock’ is a little more realized, but I listen to that every once in a while, and I go, ‘I like that song.’ I like the way that she sounds on the song. She got that way of singing down and met the challenge of that song. It was so much fun.”

Despite the break-up, the two don’t seem like they have any conflicts now.

Khloé found herself in legal hot water again in December 2011 and March 2012, facing assault claims and a lawsuit related to the weight-loss supplement QuickTrim.

6. Natasha Lyonne

The star of ‘Orange Is the New Black’ had her share of challenges during the early 2000s. Lyonne was arrested for DUI in 2001 and faced additional legal issues relating to disputes with her neighbors. By 2005, health issues combined with heroin addiction resulted in struggles, which led to her journey to recovery.

5. Justin Bieber

2014 wasn’t Bieber’s year. Despite previous minor run-ins with the law, he was arrested in Miami Beach for DUI and resisting arrest. Later that year, he settled the DUI case, making a charitable donation as part of the agreement. Bieber was arrested in September 2014 in Ontario for assault and dangerous driving, and in November 2014, an arrest warrant was issued for him in Argentina.

Before Mayer became the musician we know today, he faced legal trouble in May 2001 for driving with a suspended license. He offered to donate to charity in 2009 if TMZ could find his mugshot. After it was found, Mayer donated to two animal charities.

3. Matthew McConaughey

In 1999, McConaughey was arrested in his home after neighbors complained about noise. The reason? A naked McConaughey playing the bongo drums. Though initially facing marijuana possession charges, they were eventually dropped.

2. Reese Witherspoon

Witherspoon’s 2013 arrest was rather unexpected. After her then-husband, Jim Toth, was pulled over in Atlanta for driving in the wrong lane, Witherspoon’s interaction with the police officers led to her arrest for disorderly conduct. She later pleaded no-contest and was required to pay court costs.

1. Shia LaBeouf

From his 2014 arrest in New York to a 2017 incident in Savannah, Georgia, LaBeouf faced multiple charges, including public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and obstruction. His struggle with alcoholism played a role in many of these incidents, prompting him to seek treatment and therapy.
