Radio X’s Johnny Vaughan asked Royal Blood’s Mike Kerr about the 10th anniversary of ‘Out of the Black.’ It might come as a surprise to some, but the singer revealed that it’s a miracle they made it this long in the industry. He said:

“It’s amazing that we’ve survived this long. I think when that song [Out of the Black] first came out, it launched the band right, and every part of you is thinking; this won’t last, so let’s just make the most of it and act like this is going to go away tomorrow.”

Even though Kerr questions their long-standing career, they just opened for Muse in Plymouth at the Home Park Stadium. However, when Vaughan asked whether they could take them down, the singer instantly said:

“Absolutely not, no. You can’t; they’re a force to be reckoned with. [It’s like bringing a] knife to a gunfight.”

The band is gearing up to release their fourth studio album ‘Back To The Water Below’ on the 8th of September. In the meantime, they have the lead single ‘Mountains at Midnight’ from the new album out for the fans to get a taste of what’s to come.
