Sammy Hagar has stirred up speculation about a possible tour in 2026. The rocker dropped cryptic hints in response to fan comments on social media, suggesting more performances may be on the horizon. He shared the remarks on Instagram while posting footage from Green Day’s set at Ohana Fest. Alongside the video, Hagar added an enthusiastic caption about the experience:

“Just another day in the life, I’m pinching myself! PS Greenday were phenomenal,” Hagar wrote.

The buzz around a potential tour started after fans began commenting on the post. One fan recalled meeting Hagar before and expressed excitement about future collaborations.

When a fan wrote, “Sammy met you last year at Sting 3.0 at Ohana, you are so kind, can’t wait to see again soon, best wishes, I agree, an Eddie V and Sammy H set would be epic, go get em guys,” Hagar gave a short but revealing reply:

“Maybe next year,” Hagar responded. Another commenter suggested Hagar should have headlined the festival, and once again he gave the same intriguing answer: “Maybe next year,” he said again.

The repeated use of that phrase has fans convinced that Hagar may be hinting at festival appearances or tour dates in 2026.

These cryptic replies come as the veteran rocker already has firm plans in place for next year. News3LV confirmed Hagar’s 2026 Las Vegas residency with his “Best of All Worlds” supergroup, scheduled for March and September at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

The lineup features Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, guitar great Joe Satriani, drummer Kenny Aronoff, and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte. The residency promises a career-spanning setlist, including classics from Hagar’s Van Halen years. Given the scale of this commitment, any additional tour dates would need to be scheduled around these shows.

At the same time, AXS TV revealed that Hagar is part of a new supergroup project with Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger. While details are still scarce, the collaboration hints at new music and potential live performances beyond the Vegas residency.

Together, the residency announcement and these new musical ventures add weight to Hagar’s teasing responses. His repeated “maybe next year” replies may well point to expanded touring plans that complement his 2026 commitments.

Sammy Hagar recently talked about the movies he liked in an episode of his YouTube series, ‘Storytime with Sammy Hagar.’ In the video, he revealed his favorite Quentin Tarantino movie and explained the reason by recounting a memory. He said:

“First of all, I’m not a big movie guy. Everyone’s always telling about a new movie, ‘Oh, you gotta see this movie.’ I’ll see one out of ten. I’m just not a movie buff, but when I saw ‘Pulp Fiction,’ ‘Star Wars,’ the first ‘Star Wars,’ movies like that, that just blew me away. And just like, ‘Oh my God! I’m so inspired, but I’m not gonna walk out on this one because I know something’s gonna happen, and I need to see [it.]'”

Detailing his love for ‘Pulp Fiction,’ the singer went on:

“Especially ‘Pulp Fiction.’ That was the craziest movie that everybody kept telling me to go see it, and I’m going, ‘Oh, yeah. You know, I ain’t got time.’ So, Kari and I decided we were gonna go see all the pictures and some little movie theater in Sausalito when it first came out.”

Hagar recalled the first time he watched the movie:

“So, we go in and sit down. We don’t know what’s going on, and it starts. And I’m watching. I’m going, ‘Oh, this is funny. This is weird.’ All of a sudden, through the grace of God, [Cuts to Samuel L. Jackson’s scene] ‘and you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!’ Blam, blam! Blows his guy’s head off. [Laughs] The Flock of Seagulls kid sitting on the couch.”

Revealing his reaction to the scene and sharing his thoughts about Tarantino films, he added:

“I mean, I know it sounds wicked, but I bust out laughing so hard, and people started asking me to shut up. I could not stop laughing. It blew my mind. It was so surprising. Tarantino invented just f**k with your head, f**k with your senses. Everything you think is gonna happen, it ain’t gonna happen. Some other s**t that you never even dreamed of – think of the worst possible scenario, and now everyone makes movies like that.”

The former Van Halen vocalist also praised ‘Pulp Fiction’ by saying:

“But when I first saw that movie, ‘Pulp Fiction,’ I gotta say, [Making guitar sound with his mouth]. Just everything about it. John Travolta dancing again, doing a Twist to freaking Chuck Berry. I mean, everything about was just – That’s gotta be one of the greatest movies ever made. Probably one of the most influential movies to other filmmakers. Peace, Tarantino!”

Before ending the video, he mentioned a scene from another Tarantino movie that had a reference to his tequila brand:

“And one time, in one of his other movies, he used Cabo Wabo Tequila. A guy comes up to the bar and goes – I became a Tarantino nut – ‘Hey, I’ll have a margarita.’ And he goes, ‘What kind of tequila would you like, guys?’ ‘I don’t know.’ ‘So, you want Cabo Wabo. It’s the best.’ There’s about ten bottles of Cabo Wabo. He pulls one down, takes a drink out of it, pours the guy a shot. I’m going, ‘Amen!’ That’s my kinda guy.”

Sammy Hagar is not the only name ‘Pulp Fiction’ influenced. In recent years, Måneskin referenced the 1994 film in the music video of its single ‘Supermodel.’ About this, the band’s vocalist, Damiano David, said in a 2022 interview with MTV News:

“We took inspiration from ‘Pulp Fiction,’ where during all the film, people are chasing this 24 hours suitcase, and you never know what’s inside. We kind of thought the same. We wanted to put this ‘unknown’ thing inside a bag, and this lady that chased for it, and we imagined that it’s like the ‘fame-dom’ and ‘stardom.’ Everybody is chasing it, but they end up dying for it. So, it’s not good.”

In a recent ‘Storytime with Sammy’ episode, Sammy Hagar shared the behind-the-scenes of the first two songs he ever wrote for Montrose before joining Van Halen. The Red Rocker explained:

“The first song I ever wrote, and what was it about? Well, first of all, I’m probably the luckiest guy in the world because the first two songs I ever wrote in my life were ‘Bad Moto Scooter’ and ‘Make It Last,’ and quite honestly, they both ended up on Montrose’s first album and sold five-six million copies over the years. I don’t think most people have that good of an experience in their first songs.”

After sharing his luck with his first two songs, Sammy told the story of what inspired one of them; ‘Bad Moto Scooter.’ Hagar continued:

“‘Bad Moto Scooter’ I was driving my beat-up old car across the Golden Gate Bridge. I saw a guy on a chopper with a good-looking girl, long hair flying back behind her, sitting in a sissy bar, and I’m going, ‘Damn, you’re on your bad boy scooter,’ and honestly, I just went home and wrote my first song; it was so crazy.”

Besides having hits in Montrose’s debut album before joining Van Halen, Sammy shared during his 2019 appearance at the Grammy Museum what he learned from his time with the band. He said:

“When I left Montrose — when I got thrown out of Montrose — I said, ‘I don’t want to play in a band with people I don’t like.’ Friends first that can play. That’s kind of my motto because you’ve got to live with these people. That was a good lesson for me.”
