Two years ago, Pharrell Williams teamed up with David Grutman for a new restaurant in Miami’s culinary scene, Strawberry Moon. Nestled within their newest venture, The Goodtime Hotel, it’s more than just a restaurant. Let’s learn more about Strawberry Moon’s design aesthetic and culinary offerings.

This is the second collaboration between Williams and Grutman. Back in 2018, the duo unveiled Swan in the Miami Design District. Their newest venture, Strawberry Moon, opened its doors in April 2021, located at 601 Washington Avenue on Miami Beach.

Strawberry Moon has the vibe of mid-century Caribbean and Central American resort towns, reflecting the essence of places like Havana and Acapulco.

With a 30,000-square-foot space on the third floor of The Goodtime Hotel, diners can experience an outdoor pool area that transitions from a daytime swim club to a nighttime restaurant and lounge. The interiors are marked by blond wood floors, turquoise grasscloth walls, scalloped shell barstools, and Art Deco chandeliers.

Besides, the venue offers an enclosed restaurant area, a covered dining terrace, and a vast outdoor deck.

Overseen by Chef Roel Alcudia, Strawberry Moon’s menu is a nod to Mediterranean flavors. Diners can taste a variety of mezzes, small plates, Turkish pizzas, and kebabs.

Some standout dishes include the mezze platter with hummus, babaganoush, and spicy feta; the Lahmacun pie with spice lamb and bell pepper; and the prawn kebabs. Other notable mentions are the branzino with chickpea tabbouleh, swordfish shawarma, and saffron rice.

The restaurant also offers live entertainment, bottle service, and sunset beers, and the spacious venue is designed to be sociable.

Strawberry Moon is open Monday to Thursday from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday until midnight, and Sundays until 10 p.m. Lunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
