Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker admitted that he is still struggling with his fear of flying.

Barker was once on a plane on his way to Van Nuys, California, in 2008 with his two close friends, Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein, assistant Chris Baker, and security guard Charles Still. The plane unexpectedly crashed, and only Barker and DJ AM survived, leaving the two with PTSD.

Barker took to Twitter to share his experience with flying. He wrote the following:

“I still hate flying. I love touring and playing music but I unfortunately associate traveling and flying with death. I am strong and nothing can keep me from living life though.”

Considering the crash he has been in, it can be expected the rocker is still afraid of flying. Despite the plane crash, the drummer believes he can handle everything ‘God throws at him,’ while revealing that he has been dealing with health problems for the last week. He wrote in the next tweet:

“Also last week I had Covid, an episode of trigeminal neuralgia, and a root canal. Which means I can pretty much handle anything God throws at me.”

Although it seems that Barker is still afraid of flying, two years ago, he shared a photo on his Instagram account in front of a plane with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, stating in the description that anything is possible with her. So it can be claimed that it got easier for Barker to get on planes both with the help of his wife and his music career.

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker celebrated a milestone with his fear of flying after his tragic plane crash in 2008. Barker once again thanked his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, for helping him overcome his fear by writing a thread on Instagram that read:

“Just flew for the 30th time since my plane crash. I wouldn’t be able to tour or enjoy life again the way I do without the healing love of my amazing wife. I love you, Kourtney Kardashian.”

Barker was on a plane to Van Nuys, California, when it crashed and burned. Only Barker and DJ AM survived the crash; however, the drummer suffered from severe PTSD after the accident and wasn’t able to fly. After getting involved with Kourtney, the reality TV star managed to help his then-boyfriend get on the plane.

The drummer had opened up to Nylon about their first plane ride together back in 2021 from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Barked recalled:

“I didn’t even know I was going. I made a deal with her that she had just said to me, ‘I would love to do so much traveling with you. I want to go to Italy with you. I want to go to Cabo with you. I want to go to Paris with you. I want to go to Bora Bora with you.'”

Travis shared that he wanted to do everything with his now wife, so he made a counteroffer and said:

“I said, ‘Well, when the day comes you want to fly, I’m telling you I’ll do it with you. I would do anything with you. And just give me 24 hours’ notice.’ And that’s what she did.”

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Oscar De La Hoya recently shared his feelings on Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker for his contribution to raising his daughter, Atiana De La Hoya.

Atiana was born to Oscar De La Hoya and Shanna Moakler a year before the couple’s separation. Moakler then married Travis Barker, who became Atiana’s caretaker from the age of five.

De La Hoya admitted:

“Look, I didn’t raise my kids, you know? Their moms did. And I have to give credit where credit is due.”

The former boxer acknowledged Barker as the father figure for his daughter when he couldn’t be present. Crediting the drummer for taking care of her daughter, he added:

“I’m grateful that Barker was there, you know, as a father figure for my daughter. I have to be grateful that Shanna was a mother to Atiana and just know my place, basically, you know? My place — I’m obviously a father, and I’m proud of it. But, again, I’m grateful for what they’ve done. Especially with Barker. He’s obviously stepped up to the plate.”

De La Hoya also stated that he is still in touch with the drummer. Praising Barker, he said:

“He’s such a nice guy. I have the utmost respect for him.”

The boxer added:

“He’s a good guy. I’ve talked to him several times. And we communicate about Atiana. I’m just grateful for what he’s done.”

Barker shares two more children with his previous wife and gained three more stepchildren upon marrying his current wife Kourtney Kardashian. In addition, Kourtney recently revealed being pregnant during a Blink-182 show.

Kourtney Kardashian recently revealed her pregnancy at a Blink-182 concert and shared photos of her baby bump via an Instagram post. Upon hearing the news, Travis Barker’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler broke her silence and admitted that she already knew about the pregnancy.

During the Blink-182 concert on Friday night (June 16,) Kourtney, who was in the audience, held up a sign that read, ‘Travis, I’m Pregnant.’ The pregnancy announcement was a nod to Blink-182’s music video for ‘All The Small Things,‘ where a similar sign is seen.

Responding to a fan comment on Instagram, Shanna congratulated Kourney and Travis after the news:

“Very excited for them, hope they have a great experience bringing in a new life to the world.”

Barker appeared to be completely shocked when he saw the sign. However, the couple was already expecting when they told their inner circle about the pregnancy, and Shanna argued that the pregnancy announcement at the Blink-182 concert wasn’t the first time Barker found out about it:

“I’ve known for weeks. This is not new news to me.”

Kourtney and Travis were friends for almost a decade before they started dating in late 2020. They made their relationship Instagram official in February 2021, got engaged in October 2021, and married in May 2022 at a courthouse in Santa Barbara. They then had a lavish wedding in Portofino, Italy, a week later.

Travis was married to Shanna from 2004 to 2008 and has two children with her. She previously stated that Barker and Kardashian’s relationship is ‘absolutely disgusting’ and ‘so weird.’
