In the middle of Winger’s current tour across North America, lead vocalist Kip Winger talked about the difficulties of touring during a recent chat with ‘Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz.’ He said:

“The rock thing is getting really grueling. We just got off a 30-day bus tour. We toured with Tom Keifer, and it was really, really difficult. I didn’t like it. I mean, I love the performing part of it, but I do not like the travel aspect of it, especially in a bus, and I didn’t like it at all. So mostly, we do fly dates, which is fine.”

Then, the singer noted that his days with the band might be limited. Giving his reason, he explained:

“It’s kind of a ‘been there, done that.’ It’s just not giving me what I’m looking for in my life anymore. I like playing with my band because they’re a) really great people and b) amazing musicians. But if I wasn’t playing with them, I wouldn’t, like, start up another band or something like that — no way in hell. I’d just be working on my own thing.”

Despite the vocalist’s thoughts, Winger released a new album named ‘Seven’ back in May. While talking about the record in an interview with Guitar Interactive Magazine, Kip Winger mentioned that his vocals in it were just as he wanted. But the singer also admitted that he had issuess during live performances:

“I’m not going to bullshit you; when I sing live, I have trouble. I can do it. I still can hit all the notes, and on some nights, I sound great, and on other nights, not so amazing. […] I do have some trouble because ı’m 61. It’s really hard to do.”
