Tracy Morgan, a versatile actor and comedian, has had a career spanning both television and film. He first caught audiences’ attention with his role as Hustle Man on Fox’s ‘Martin’ in 1994. Over the years, Morgan’s talent and comedic skills led him to numerous successful projects, making him a household name in the entertainment industry.

One of the pivotal moments in his career came in 1996 when he made his big-screen debut in ‘A Thin Line Between Love and Hate.’ That same year, he joined the cast of NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ and became a regular cast member. Morgan’s stint on ‘SNL’ lasted for seven seasons, with 137 episodes under his belt. He later returned as a host in March 2009 and October 2015.

While being an ‘SNL’ cast member, the comedian also took part in film projects. He appeared in movies such as ‘Half Baked,’ ‘How High,’ ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,’ and ‘Head of State.’ Additionally, he lent his voice to characters in various animated productions, including Comedy Central’s ‘Crank Yanker,’ ‘Rio,’ ‘The Boxtrolls,’ and more.

In 2003, Tracy took on the role of producer and star in ‘The Tracy Morgan Show,’ showing his talents as both an actor and behind-the-scenes contributor. However, it was his role as Tracy Jordan on the Emmy-winning NBC sitcom ’30 Rock’ from 2006 to 2013 that truly cemented his place in television history.

Despite his achievements, Tracy Morgan faced a life-changing incident on June 7, 2014, when a Walmart tractor-trailer rear-ended a minibus he and several comedians were riding in after a show. The tragic collision resulted in the death of Morgan’s friend and mentor, James McNair, and left the comedian with severe injuries. He spent two weeks in a medically-induced coma and had to undergo surgery on his leg.

In the aftermath of the accident, Tracy filed a lawsuit against Walmart. The case was settled for an undisclosed sum in May 2015. Although rumors circulated that the settlement amounted to $90 million, Morgan’s lawyer denied the speculation.

Beyond his successful career, the actor accumulated considerable wealth over the years. As of recent estimates, his net worth stands at $70 million. The actor’s net worth has enabled him to enjoy the finer things in life, including real estate ventures. In 2011, he acquired a 4,485-square-foot home in Cresskill, New Jersey, for $2.2 million and sold it for $1.2 million. In 2015, he invested $13.9 million in a 22-room mansion in Alpine, New Jersey.
