Regarding beauty, English actress Laura Haddock has insights to offer. Back in 2022, she shared with Harper’s Bazaar insights into her beauty philosophy, her evolving skincare regimen, and her approach to personal style.

Haddock shared a glimpse into her beauty philosophy during the interview as she prepared for the 2022 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards. This occasion saw the collaboration of professionals like Halley Brisker, who styled Haddock’s hair into a braided bun, and Naoko Scintu, who worked with Armani Beauty to create Haddock’s polished makeup look.

Age, experience, and motherhood all played a role in shaping Haddock’s current beauty philosophy. The 37-year-old actress, and mother of two, noted:

“The older I get, the less make-up I wear. I can’t put too much on my face; otherwise, it just sits in the creases, and you can’t buff it out as easily. So, skin prep for me is really important now.”

Gone were the days when she would skip a complete cleansing routine; now, she said she prioritizes double cleansing and the use of serums:

“In my 20s, I’d go to sleep having not done a full cleansing routine and wake up the next day thinking nothing of it. Now it’s all about that double cleanse, lots of serums – all of it!”

Reflecting on her earlier years, Haddock admitted she often tried mimicking looks she admired on others, a practice she has since abandoned. With a deeper understanding of her face, she admitted she now confidently determines what works best for her, realizing with time that what works for one might not work for another.

According to the actress, her skincare routine took center stage in her life, and while she remained open to exploring skincare products, she was cautious about overexposure to the sun, opting for protective measures like SPF50, large hats, and sunglasses.

For professional endeavors like filming and photoshoots, Haddock admitted she leaned towards a transformative approach, adopting a new persona to overcome personal insecurities. Off-camera, in her personal life, she opted for an unfussy yet feminine style. When stepping onto the red carpet, she said she leaned towards presenting herself in a polished manner.
