Between 2015 and 2016, Amanda Peet took on the role of Tina Morris in the HBO series ‘Togetherness,’ a show that revolved around the interconnected lives of two couples sharing the same living space.
The series was created, written, and directed by the Duplass brothers, Mark and Jay Duplass. In 2015, Peet spoke to Elle magazine in a joint interview with Sarah Paulson while still starring in ‘Togetherness.’ When Paulson asked how it was to work with the Duplass brothers and referred to her nude scenes in the series, Amanda replied:
“Which is pretty silly when the part calls for nudity. It’s a real case of bait and switch. I love the way they work. They’re brilliant writers. They’re very loose on set. And I know that if I do something really bad, they won’t use it, so I feel safe. They’ve ruined me. But I’m happy to have been ruined by them.”
However, ‘Togetherness’ was not renewed for a third season after airing two seasons due to low ratings. Following the HBO show, Peet appeared in the IFC sitcom ‘Brockmire’ as the owner of a Minor League Baseball team between 2016 and 2020.
Later, she also penned and co-produced the 2021 Netflix series ‘The Chair,’ along with David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Amanda’s latest project is ‘Fatal Attraction,’ which aired on April 30, 2023, on Paramount+. Peet stars as Beth Gallagher in the show.
