Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke has fired back at lip-sync accusations sparked by musician Jay Muller. Muller recently shared footage from a live Falling In Reverse show on Instagram, claiming Radke mimed his vocals during the performance of “God Is a Weapon.”
In response, Radke posted a video of himself singing the track with his natural voice, accompanied by a pointed caption aimed at the accuser: “Jay Muller is trans.” The remark stirred up heated reactions in the comments section.
Supporters quickly rallied behind Radke, with one fan writing, “The amount of natural talent in Ronnie’s voice makes people jealous, that’s just the way it is.” Another added, “Stop worrying about the haters and focus on the lovers! We adore the shit out of you and admire your talent.”
This incident adds another chapter to ongoing debates about Radke’s live performances and vocal authenticity. As Blabbermouth reported, Radke has long denied ever lip-syncing, challenging critics to produce evidence from 2005 to now. He’s repeatedly stressed that while backing tracks may be used for production purposes, his lead vocals are always performed live. He’s even stating he would rather cancel a show than fake a performance if his voice wasn’t up to par.
The discussion touches on a broader controversy in the rock world, where many modern acts incorporate backing tracks for elements like harmonies or effects. While industry insiders note this doesn’t necessarily mean the lead vocals are pre-recorded, the practice continues to fuel debate about where to draw the line between enhancing a live show and misleading audiences.
