Lorna Shore vocalist Will Ramos recently discussed his approach to handling fan feedback, explaining why he avoids letting outside opinions influence his creative process during an interview with Loudwire. He reflected on the psychological weight of negative comments and how they can overshadow praise from fans.

“Sometimes you’ll have a really good video you’re really confident in, you’re stoked, and then you put it out and you read a whole bunch of good comments,” Ramos said. “And then you read that one bad comment and that one comment just like completely cancels out the hundreds of good comments that you just got and all you’re doing is hyperfixating on that one person.”

He noted how this fixation can become consuming and ultimately counterproductive.

“You’re just like, ‘This person’s so dumb. They don’t know what they’re talking about. Why would they even say that when they’re not right?’” he continued.

For Ramos, personal fulfillment is more important than external validation.

“If I’m happy with it, then I’m happy with it and that’s what matters at the end of the day,” he concluded.

This philosophy has guided Ramos during his tenure with Lorna Shore, a period marked by both growth and transformation. According to Louder Sound, his arrival in 2020 was a turning point, elevating the band from underground recognition to prominence in the deathcore scene. Their viral hit “Pain Remains” on TikTok dramatically expanded their reach, underscoring the power of modern platforms in bringing metal to new audiences.

As Kerrang reported, Lorna Shore endured multiple lineup changes and setbacks, including the departure of past vocalists and controversies involving a former member. In another Loudwire interview, Ramos revealed that his dream collaboration would be with Sleep Token—an example of his determination to evolve artistically regardless of fan expectations. Lorna Shore’s lead vocalist Will Ramos recently sat down with Rock Sound for an interview and explained why Sleep Token is one of his favorite bands.

The singer expressed his love for Sleep Token with the following words:

“I’m gonna say it; I love Sleep Token. You guys are listening right now. I love you guys. I was just talking to your manager, and I was like, you guys are my favorite band.”

Ramos further said that Sleep Token’s style of music really fits him:

“I don’t get to sing often because people are like, ‘Will’s just the screaming guy.’ Yes… but I love singing. And Sleep Token are the perfect…hey, I can kind of fit in there; it’s in my range. Shout-out to Sleep Token, keep making amazing music, and I will keep listening to it and doing covers of it.”

Actually, his cover of Sleep Token’s ‘Chokehold’ in March had already shown Will’s admiration for the band. It proved that the vocalist could do more than extreme-metal screams. He said in the description for his cover:

“Sleep Token is putting out their new album on May 19, and I am absolutely loving it so far. Vessel’s voice is right in my range, so I figured I’d keep dropping covers! On that note, I hope you enjoy my cover of Sleep Token’s new song ‘Chokehold.'”
