Conan Gray’s Confession About His Relationship With Olivia Rodrigo

Conan Gray and Olivia Rodrigo’s bond blossomed through their mutual admiration for Taylor Swift. The two pop stars, known for their love of Swift’s music, also connected due to sharing the same producer, Dan Nigro. Their friendship officially took off when they collaborated on promoting Taylor Swift’s rerecorded ‘Fearless’ album in April 2021.

Since then, the duo has been frequently seen together. From celebrating Halloween to attending events like the American Music Awards, their friendship has been evident in various public appearances. Still, their close friendship also spawned some dating rumors.

In a chat with People in 2022, Conan opened up about the importance of friendship in his life, expressing:

“Friendship is everything to me. I mean, I very much look at my friends like family. And when you’re someone who’s going through all these major changes in your life all at once, it’s nice to have people that you can depend on. I think throughout my life, I’ve always had friends that I could cry to and rant to, and it’s just important, no matter who you are, to have people that you can find comfort in.”

He then touched upon his relationship with Rodrigo and said:

“She’s a wonderful person and a very, very talented songwriter. It’s nice to have people that you can relate to.”

Olivia revealed she shared similar feelings with Conan in her interview with Capital FM in 2021, explaining:

“Conan’s a friend of mine, and the guy who produces most of my music produces most of his. We’re just pals, and I think he’s so brilliant.”

The pair were spotted attending a Grammys after-party at the beginning of this year. In June 2023, Gray also supported Olivia’s latest single, ‘Vampire.’ The ‘Heather’ singer shared a meme on his Instagram story, playfully recreating a Twilight scene with the words ‘Olivia Rodrigo’s new single’ and ‘Vampire’ in the subtitles. Olivia later re-posted the meme.
