In a recent Twitter post, Mötley Crüe’s touring guitarist John 5, shared a personal letter he received from Dolly Parton, along with Nikki Sixx.

Here is what the singer said John 5 and Sixx in her message:

“Hey John, it looks like we’re a part of a big ole #1 record on ‘Bygones’! [I] just wanted to tell you how proud I am of all of us and proud to have you on my record. Rob did a good job, and so did Nikki Sixx, and so did you! [I] love all of you! Thanks for helping make me a rockstar! Love, Dolly.”

The guitarist referred to his collaboration with Parton on the song, ‘Bygones,’ from Dolly’s upcoming ‘Rockstar‘ album, and wrote in response to her letter:

“Dolly Parton, it is an honor to be part of this song with you. I love you. Thank you.”

Bygones,’ also featuring Rob Halford and Nikki, along with John, was released on June 16 as the third single from Parton’s new record. Once the guitarist’s participation in the album was confirmed a few months ago, he had taken to Instagram to express his excitement, writing:

“I am so honored that I got the opportunity to play guitar on one of the songs on the upcoming Dolly Parton album. I’ve been listening to Dolly ever since I can remember; words cannot describe how exciting this is.”

In ‘Rockstar,’ which is scheduled to hit the shelves on November 17, the singer also collaborated with many other names, including Steve Perry, Stevie Nicks, Sting, Ann Wilson, Steven Tyler, and Elton John. She will also bring back Ronnie Van Zant and Gary Rossington in a rendition of ‘Free Bird.’
