Actor Seth Green recently recounted a story about witnessing Marilyn Manson punch comedian Andy Dick. He shared the incident during an appearance on the Club Random Podcast, describing the unexpected altercation that occurred as they were heading to a club.
The situation began when Andy Dick made a dramatic entrance. “We were like walking down the street to go into this club, and Andy is like putting on a show,” Green recalled. “And he just screams the second he sees me, ‘Seth, Rick James is dead!’ Andy comes and sits down and Manson just makes meaningful eye contact with me. And I just pull my hat down.”
Green went on to describe what happened next, noting Manson’s sudden aggression. “He just hits him right in the fucking throat and Andy just sort of takes that hit,” Green said. “Quick to punch people. If you’re like too close to him, he’s definitely going to push you.”
The incident reportedly took place in the early 2000s, offering a glimpse into the chaotic celebrity culture of Hollywood nightclubs at the time. Green wasn’t the only witness to the bizarre scene.
Other accounts indicated that actor Macaulay Culkin was also present during the confrontation, adding credibility to Green’s account. The encounter has been described as partly comedic yet undeniably physical, unfolding in a typical Hollywood nightlife setting.
The altercation appears to have been an isolated event between Manson and Dick, with no indication of an ongoing feud or relationship. Reports suggest their connection was limited to this tense and physical moment during that night out. Marilyn Manson has long carried a reputation for controversial and aggressive behavior, particularly in public or within the music industry, but this incident stands out as a rare public example of his physical aggression in a social context.
The story offers another glimpse into the unpredictable, chaotic energy that often defined early 2000s Hollywood nightlife, where celebrity encounters could turn volatile in an instant.
