Slaughter to Prevail has announced that they will not be performing at their scheduled Canadian dates with Falling in Reverse because of visa complications. The news was shared through a statement on the band’s official Instagram account, where they explained the circumstances and voiced their frustration.

“Unfortunately, due to visa issues we will no longer be able to play our upcoming Canadian shows supporting Falling in Reverse,” the band said. “We’re all super disappointed and wanted nothing more than to play these shows. However, sometimes problems outside of our control get in the way.”

The band elaborated on the difficulties they faced regarding documentation and travel.

“When we were first preparing for tour, Alex had issues with his passport and US visa which prevented him from leaving the US,” they continued. “After exploring every option and numerous calls with our lawyers, we were able to secure Alex’s visa but have been left waiting for his passport to be returned. We were ready to catch the next flights to Canada as soon as the passport was in our hands but the delivery was delayed further.”

Slaughter to Prevail also expressed regret to their Canadian audience and promised to make up for the cancellations. “Sorry to all the Canadian fans who were excited to see us,” they said. “We’re working hard to make up for these cancellations in the future and already have plans in place. We’ll see you in Spring.”

Despite the setback in Canada, the band confirmed that their remaining tour schedule is unaffected. “The good news is that moving forward all further shows on this current tour in Europe/Mexico will be going ahead as planned,” they concluded. “It’s been a long and stressful process but we are finally in a place of stability with our travel and touring.”

The cancellations particularly affect fans who were eager to see the Russian deathcore act share the stage with one of metalcore’s biggest names. According to SeatGeek, the scrapped Canadian dates include Falling in Reverse’s September 10 and 11, 2025 performances at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage and Montreal’s Centre Bell, two of the country’s top concert venues.

Live Nation has confirmed that Falling in Reverse’s God Is a Weapon tour—featuring a setlist packed with fan favorites like “Popular Monster” and “God Is a Weapon”—will proceed without Slaughter to Prevail. The tour remains one of the most anticipated metal events of the year, making the absence of the support act especially disappointing for the community.

Slaughter to Prevail’s experience underscores the challenges international artists face with border crossings and immigration processes. Originally formed in Russia and now operating globally, the band has repeatedly had to navigate complex travel and visa requirements to maintain its touring schedule.

Meanwhile, Falling in Reverse, led by frontman Ronnie Radke, continues to ride the momentum of their latest releases, keeping their North American tour a major draw for fans. While the show will go on, many concertgoers will feel the absence of Slaughter to Prevail from the lineup.
