Charlie Robison reportedly passed away at 59, as his wife, Kristen Robison, announced on Facebook, on September 10. She wrote:

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that my husband, Charlie Robison, has passed away today, surrounded by his family and friends. My heart is broken. Please pray for me, our children, and our family.”

It was later revealed that the late singer’s cause of death was due to cardiac arrest, and it was known that the country star had been struggling with his health, as he had to retire due to throat surgery a few years ago.

Robison was considered a cult name in the mainstream country scene, especially in Texas, as he’d scored himself a prominent place with hits like, ‘My Hometown,’ and commercially successful albums like, ‘Life of the Party’ and ‘Step Right Up.’

His wife, Kristen, hasn’t commented further, and the Robison family reportedly wishes for privacy during these hard times. Still, if you want to pay your respects and condolences, you can check out his hit, ‘My Hometown,’ below.
