After the news that Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval allegedly cheated on Ariana Madix with Raquel Leviss, the actor received backlash from the fans. Andy Cohen recently spoke to the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast and showed his support for Sandoval, saying he’s still a person.
Revealing his thoughts on fans’ reactions, Cohen said:
“Tom Sandoval made a mistake he’ll probably regret for the rest of his life. He is still a person. It’s out of control; I hope it’s kind of dying down for his sake. He’s a real person. He did something really stupid, hurtful, and asinine, [but] he didn’t kill anyone; he didn’t commit a crime.“
News broke on March 3, 2023, when TMZ reported that Ariana found out about Tom’s affair with Raquel and ended things with him. Tom and Ariana have been together for nine years. After the news, rumors spread that Tom and Raquel have already been together for months. Fans then decided to boycott Sandoval’s new bar, Schwartz & Sandy’s.
The former couple’s costars, Lala Kent and Leviss’ former fiancé James Kennedy, took to social media to share their reactions. As reported by People, Kennedy wrote on his Instagram the following:
“Hope you all feel as sick as I do. This explains everything.”
Lala Kent commented below Kennedy’s post, saying:
“I’ve been telling y’all! Everyone said I was a ‘bully.’ It’s called YOU TRIGGER ME, AND I SEE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE! I’ve known these two are disgusting from the jump.“
Speaking to Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Sandoval’s ex Kristen Doute said she had already heard about Tom’s past affairs with other women:
“Since the Raquel news broke, I’ve heard multiple things that are now coming out of the woodwork.“
When Andy asked her if she could give any names, Kristen continued:
“No one that I know personally. But like when he and Tom [Schwartz] specifically were like doing appearances together, a friend of a friend hooked up with him [Sandoval].”
