Desmond Child recently appeared on Appetite for Destruction to discuss his memoir, family life, and more. During the chat, the producer shared his favorite songs and revealed the one song he was jealous of. When asked, Child named Billie Eilish and one of her current songs. He revealed:
“I’m so jealous of Billie Eilish’s song in ‘Barbie,’ ‘What Was I Made For?’ I mean, that’s gotta win the Oscar, hands down.”
Child touched on the emotional side of the song:
“That song is so touching and deep, profound and existential. She got it just right with her brother and everything with that song. I was surprised how that song hit me. I’m jealous, jealous, jealous. Billie Eilish and her magnificent song from ‘Barbie.'”
Earlier, the producer called Eilish ‘fantastic,’ along with a few other names.
Eilish’s song for the movie ‘Barbie,’ has topped the charts, hit first place on the Australian chart, and became the U.S. pop phenomenon’s 15th top 10 appearance.
