Two years since the curtains fell on ‘Lucifer.’ Tom Ellis, Lauren German, and D.B. Woodside have been venturing into other projects since the show’s conclusion in 2021. Here’s a glimpse into where these actors are currently channeling their talents as of 2023.
Tom Ellis
Ellis has kept active in the entertainment scene. He has paired up with Netflix again for the romantic comedy ‘Players,‘ where he shares the screen with Gina Rodriguez and Damon Wayans Jr. Filming was wrapped up in 2021, and it’s currently awaiting a release date.
Ellis also lends his voice to the upcoming Netflix animated series, ‘Exploding Kittens,‘ which is set to air in the fall of 2023.
In January 2023, Ellis made headlines when he teamed up with his wife Meaghan Oppenheimer and actress Emma Roberts for the Hulu romantic dramedy ‘Second Wife.’ While Ellis was also associated with the Hulu series ‘Washington Black,‘ there hasn’t been any recent update on its progress.
Lauren German
German has taken a different route since ‘Lucifer.’ Opting for a quieter life post the show, she hasn’t taken on any new acting projects. Fans who’ve been following her on Instagram might have noticed she shares lots of artwork photographs. So, she might be channeling her creativity into painting.
D.B. Woodside
Woodside also continues working with Netflix. As of 2023, he headlines the thriller series ‘The Night Agent‘ as Erik Monks. Inspired by the novel by Matthew Quirk, the series premiered on March 23, 2023. Outside of Netflix, he’s made appearances in the DC animated series ‘Young Justice‘ and has had a recurring role in ‘9-1-1: Lone Star.‘
Like their ‘Lucifer’ co-stars, Lesley-Ann Brandt and Kevin Alejandro have focused on other projects as well. Brandt is cast in an upcoming ‘Walking Dead’ spinoff as a character named Pearl Thorne and the drama ‘Hanover Street,‘ which is currently in development.
Alejandro, on the other hand, joined the cast of Netflix’s ‘Arcane’ as the voice of Jayce. He was also cast in the 2022 romantic coming-of-age drama ‘Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe,‘ and is currently part of the main cast of the CBS series ‘Fire Country,‘ which was renewed for a second season.
