Paul Rodgers Is Back With A New Album, ‘Midnight Rose’

Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers has announced the release date of his first solo album in 25 years. A recent post on his official Instagram revealed the debut of the first single from the upcoming project called ‘Midnight Rose.’ The caption accompanying a part of the song ‘Living It Up’ read:

“Nearly 49 years to the day after the release of the first Bad Company album in 1974 and 54 years since his very first album ‘Tons of Sobs’ with Free was released in 1969, ‘Midnight Rose’ marks Paul’s first solo studio album of original music in nearly 25 years. Listen to the first single ‘Living It Up’ and pre-save ‘Midnight Rose’ available September 22 with the link in bio.”

‘Midnight Rose’ is composed of eight tracks, all written by Rodgers, except for the lead single, ‘Living It Up,’ which the singer created with Todd Ronning and Rick Fedyk. Produced by Cynthia Rodgers and Bob Rock, the album will be released by Sun Records.

Regarding the forthcoming album, the singer shared the following in a press release:

“My new album ‘Midnight Rose’ grew from sparks of ideas I had. The sparks developed into a raging fire when the band and everyone involved brought their absolute ‘A’ game. I think it is my best album to date; I like it. I hope you do too.”

The second album track, ‘Take Love,’ will be out on July 28. Meanwhile, you can listen to the first one in the video below.
